Located in the heart of the city by the Opera Garnier, the InterContinental Paris Le Grand offers 470 rooms and suites with it 21,000 ft² of event space divided among 19 event rooms. The listed historical monument Opéra ballroom and the Berlioz meeting room are 4,500 ft² each. They both have been freshly renovated and can host exclusive events.
The Berlioz meeting room
The Berlioz meeting room, located on the lower level, offers 4,500 sqft to host your meetings and events. In 2013, the Designer Pierre-Yves Rochon has brightened this space with “trompe-l’oeil” windows overlooking artificial gardens, creating a vivid impression of life and luminosity. The corridors which lead to the room were painted in a theatrical red and decorated with portraits of 19th century composers. After 7 weeks of renovations, the Berlioz Meeting Room is now ready to host receptions and conferences of up to 500 people in theatre style and 400 people in banquet style. The connecting foyer Bizet-Gounod is the ideal place for the organization of your breaks and cocktails.
The Opera Ballroom
In order to preserve the exceptional heritage, the Hotel InterContinental Paris Le Grand decided on undertaking €6 million worth of remarkable renovation works in the Opera Ballroom. Fifty people including France’s top craftsmen from twelve different building trades spent five months, using their unique know-how to return this historical flagship to its former glory; roofers, glassmakers, goldbeaters, expert “trompe-l’œil” and historical decoration artists, as well as air-conditioning engineers and carpet layers were involved in the project. The Opera ballroom can host gala dinners up to 450 guests, conferences with 600 participants, under the eyes of the 48 statues of musicians by Aimé Millet, each one having witnessed all of the festivities and celebrated all of the victories.
