Q: What makes Normandy a top choice for business travel?

First I would say diversity. Normandy offers a lot of different landscapes and some renowned sites like the Mont Saint Michel, the D-Day landing beaches, Deauville… Whatever you like (shopping, culture, seaside…), you will find it in Calvados and Normandy. Located 2 hours from Paris, Calvados is the perfect region for a post-meeting incentive tour for example. Caen is connected to Paris via daily flights and several trains every day. We are also used to welcoming international events. We hosted the G8 Summit in 2011, the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy (in presence of 18 Heads of State) as well as the World Equestrian Games in 2014.

Q: What’s your favorite spot in the region?

Actually it’s very difficult to select only one spot! I love Honfleur for the architecture, for the artistic atmosphere. It’s a picturesque town with its numerous art galleries, narrow streets and small shops. I also like the relaxed atmosphere of Trouville sur Mer, where you can have seafood tastings at any time. The villas on the beachfront are gorgeous. And definitely, I love the D-Day landing beaches area. Even if they witnessed a very sad but major moment of our history, they are now very peaceful and Omaha Beach is for sure one of the most beautiful beaches of Normandy.

Q: What does Normandy offer to business travelers?

Normandy offers venues for every type of events. Congress & convention centers in Caen and Deauville (up to 1,500 pax), character venues for gala dinners and receptions in typical villas, calvados distilleries, castles, museums… and overall a large range of hotels: 7 5-star hotels (for a total capacity of 792 rooms) and a lot of charming 4-star hotels and quality 3-star hotels. We can adapt to every budget and wishes! Regarding the activities, imagine your team shooting their own short film on the beach of Deauville like the stars of the American film festival: that could be amazing! You can also discover the Norman gastronomy with cheese and calvados tastings on board a typical French 2 CV or learn how to paint like Claude Monet around the harbor of Honfleur…
