Q: Tell us about Strasbourg and what makes it an exciting destination.

Strasbourg is the capital of Europe.
The European Parliament and the University of Strasbourg are two major political and economic assets.
It is a human-scaled international city as well as one of Europe’s finest cities with a remarkable heritage: the city center is classified as a world heritage by UNESCO.
Also our vineyards and cuisine are famous and are definitely a topic the visitors will enjoy.

Q: How is the destination different now that it was 5 years ago?

We are the only French city that is crossed by two high-speed train tracks; soon we will be only 1hr 50mins from Paris and have new high-speed trains operating to Brussels by 2016.
We have two international airports: Strasbourg Airport and the Basel-Mulhouse-Freibourg airport, which is only 1hr 30mins away from Strasbourg.
Also, the Convention Center is being renovated and will open brand new spaces in 2016.

Q: What can Strasbourg offer to business travelers?

The Convention Center will be renovated by 2016 and will offer 3 auditoriums (1,800, 1,200 and 500 seats), 25 conference rooms, a network of fixed and mobile interpreting cabins, 20,000 ft² of adaptable dining area and 100,000 ft² of adaptable space for exhibitions, catering and conferences.
This is of course a key point in our development to attract international exhibitions and congresses.

Q: What is your advice for planning a successful event in Strasbourg?
