Last year Nice hosted Europe's biggest Chinese convention, organized by the company TIENS. In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Chinese company, a leader in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, treated 6,400 of its best salespeople from around the world, including 5,400 participants from mainland China, to an epic reward trip to Nice from May 7-9, 2015.
One of the highlights of this corporate convention took place on the Quai des Etats-Unis. All of the participants donned blue T-Shirts and positioned themselves to spell out the phrase "TIENS' DREAM IS NICE IN THE CÔTE D'AZUR." Filmed by drone, the exploit (the largest ever human sentence) now boasts a place in the Guinness World Records. This unprecedented event required a number of roads to be closed off and called on the efforts of several local teams. The convention was held at the Palais Nikaïa.
