Paris gained the most new five-star ratings for its hotels in the Forbes Travel Guides Star Awards 2016.
Forbes sends its undercover inspectors to check out hotels, restaurants and spas around the world and edit a list of some 156 five-star rating hotels.
A total of nine luxury hotels for Paris in this list:

• La Reserve
• Le Bristol
• Le Meurice , Dorchester Collection
• Le Royal Monceau - Raffles
• Mandarin Oriental , Paris
• The Peninsula Paris
• Shangri-La Hôtel , Paris
